A Must Have

I have been studying God's Word in relationship to Quantum physics for several years now and there is definitely a connection. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to investigate all of this, but the more I looked into it, the more I knew it was a knowledge now being released to God's people, one we have to learn to walk in.

I listen to a lot of teaching tapes by some of the finest Christian teachers that merge our Christian walk with Quantum but I'll tell you this book brought everything home. In just a few pages author, Anette Capps, takes the mystery out of Quantum Faith and brings it down to a level that is easy to understand and start applying in our everyday walk as Christians. I don't know about you, but I want a victorious life and one that is a testimony to Jesus.The knowledge in this book will help bring us there. Anette clearly explains how our Lord walked in these principals and how He has given them to us, if we will only take the time to understand them. We need to seek them out, pray, and than use them in our lifes. WE are to have a victorious life and be overcomers. Walking in Quantum Faith is another step towards that victory.

I highly recommend this book and I am sure I will receive a lot of angry posts for doing it. Sorry, you need to open your eyes and receive the next step in your walk with God. It is an exciting one. Get this book...read it...apply the information. It could change your life.

This book is well-meant and has some very nice "declarations" for a person to use to strengthen his or her faith in certain ways. But if a person is hoping to reconcile quantum physics with faith in faith....it won't work unless the reader knows nothing about quantum physics. Ms. Capps doesn't completely grasp the fundamentals of quantum physics, so her attempts to explain how they support the precepts of faith won't convince anyone who has a more accurate basic understanding of what quantum physics says about our world experience or "reality" today. It's not an expensive book, so it's not a loss to read it, but I believe there are better books (more expensive of course) that would be more convincing for a person who knows something about the science but is seeking to work what it teaches into their faithful stance. I'm researching these "other" books now, so I don't have any recommendations for you.

LIFE CHANGEING INFORMATION. SMALL PACKAGE.

As a born again believer I had always thought that science was almost always in conflict with the foundations of my core beliefs. But after reading this wonderful little book it challenged me to learn all that I could about the strange world of quantum physics. I learned about the weird actions of the electron. How the electron that orbits the nucleus is not always in particle form. But at times exists in an invisible wave like state (like a cloud,everywhere at once) until the very act of observation causes this invisible matter to blink into existence in a particle form. Some of the question that Annette brought out were the same questions that I had. How does the electron know that some one is looking at it, and why does it react somewhat differently for each observer? Was it responding according to what the scientist believes? This really shook me to my core, and a verse in Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1 was brought to my mind. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Verse 3 also says that through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Could we perhaps be talking about a very part of the spiritual realm? Perhaps the very act of speaking and declaring the Word of God bring into manifestation the signs and miracles that we so desperately need in this day and time. The more I studied this invisible world of quantum physics I found no roadblocks to hinder my faith but only more reasons to believe in the existence of an almighty God more magnificent and wonderful then I had henceforth dared to believe. A word of caution however. Our enemy (Satan) is still using the same tactics that he used on Eve in the Garden of Eden. In Genesis chapter 3 verse 5 while trying to get her to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he told Eve For God does know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened,and ye shall be as gods,knowing good and evil. there are some individuals who take a portion of the truth found in quantum physics and run with it in all kinds of different directions, with some even claiming that we can become our own gods. In fact this is the only issue that I have with Annette book is the 2 books that she recommends for more study. I feel a better choice would be titles by John Polkinghorne, Bernard Haisch, Henry F Schaefer, Gerald L Schroeder, or a book soon to be published called Elsewhen by David Van Koevering. In closing However I highly recommend this book by Annette Capps.

Great prequel to lead off "Avalon"

I did things a bit backwards and read the novel "Avalon" before I read this prequel. I wish I had read "Proxy" first. It filled in some thin spots of the novel.

I actually enjoyed this novella a bit more than the book that follows. It is fast-paced and the momentum never ebbs. Plus there is more character development in this prequel.

But both "Proxy" and "Avalon" have fun storylines and characters I want to get to know better. I will be keeping my eyes open for the next book in the series.

A spacefaring crew of teenage thieves? An exciting universe populated by monarchies, competing crime lords, a (possibly insidious) pervasive bureaucratic organization? A conflicted thief who wants nothing more than the safety of his sister and to regain ownership of his family’s spaceship? A beautiful, yet ruthless, rival?

Ok. Yes. I want more of this, please.

Orphaned with his means of freedom leveraged over him, Jeth Seagrave finds himself leader of the Malleus Shades, a gang of thieves who do the bidding of the crime lord Hammer, while trying to earn enough to buy back his ship and get his younger sister away from the dangers of the criminal underworld. Their current job? Steal a sacred ruby from the Grakkan emperor’s bed chamber.

Easy peasy, right? Well, what fun would it be if everything went according to plan? And things definitely, definitely do not go according to plan.

This 90-page prequel novella does a great job at setting the stage for Avalon — revealing fascinating glimpses of the characters, the world(s), the dynamics, the obstacles, the risks, and the consequences. It’s fantastic, and it made me want more of Jeth’s and the Malleus Shades’ stories. So, in regard to world and character building, Proxy shines. The heist, however, I found a tad oversimplified. (Put plainly, if the emperor’s security is that easy to breach, then he deserves to have his precious ruby stolen.) But even so, the plot has some fun twists and turns, sometimes becoming a bit darker than I anticipated (with some possibly very ominous foreshadowing), which of course, only increases my curiosity. All in all, I found it to be very enjoyable.

And because it’s unavoidable to draw a comparison, for those of you wondering… yes. Yes, this story does have a bit of a Firefly-esque feel to it — the over-arcing theme of family, semi-honorable thieves, an oppressive governing authority, a dangerous and sinister underworld, and an anti-hero hero who operates within the realm of the morally gray. That, and it has the potential to be both great sci-fi and an interesting character ensemble piece.

Overall, with the stage now set and the players in motion, I’m excited to see where Arnett will take Jeth and the Malleus Shades. Considering me eagerly awaiting Avalon.

The Perfect Avalon Appetizer

Having read Mindee's first novel, The Nightmare Affair, I was looking forward to her shift into YA Sci-Fi with her upcoming novel, Avalon. I jumped at the chance to get a head start on the characters with Proxy, An Avalon Novella and I wasn't disappointed in the least! I'd think it would be tough to find enough time in a novella to develop both plot and characters to any extent, yet Mindee pulls it off well with Proxy. It took no time at all to become enthralled with Jeth and his team of stealthy bandits and the end of this romp came all too quickly for me after I'd fully entered their universe. It's left me looking forward to the main event though and what more could you ask for?!

Page-turner sequel! Loved It!
By history repeats
I absolutely loved Eden and Hunted did not disappoint. This book was a page turner from beginning to end. Ms. Wise writes with the kind of plot suspense and atmospheric danger that you are never sure if she is going to kill off a major character, including the hero or the heroine. There is so much fast-paced action in the second half of the book that I felt a little worn out when I finished it.

The natives take a major role in this sequel, and it takes a talented writer to imbue semi-verbal creatures with so much characterization that they feel like friends and enemies. Plus, we finally learn a lot more about Fly's fascinating backstory. As in Eden, Ms. Wise has very rich descriptions of the landscape, making it a character in this book, too. Fly and Jenny are basically explorers and settlers, and their new world plays an appropriately sinister and threatening role.

This book was great from beginning to end, and a perfect conclusion to the Eden story. I liked Fly and Jenny so much that I will miss them. They were great characters who solidified their roles as a couple in the first half and then were tested and challenged on so many fronts as individuals in the second half that Ms. Wise left you prepared for their possible demise. It was a breathtaking adventure!

A great sequel.

LOVE this story. This book is the long awaited sequel to her book Eden, and it is wonderful. This book can be read alone I think, but it would be so much more satisfying to read the other first. This book picks up and we read about the native life on the planet and their interaction with them.
We also learn about Fly's background and more about his species.
It is a great story.

Great conculsion to a wonderful story

A great ending to a pair of book with really great writing and really unique characters. I am kind of sad to see this series end. Their are so may different avenues that the author could probably take but it wouldn't be the same. I congratulate the author om some really fun adventures in this book. Fun for me not so much for the characters. Enjoy/
